It only took about 5 phone calls to actually organise it. On the day was hectic and of course the evening was even more so. Firstly we had a whole week of glorious sunshine and on the night of the event it pissed down for about 2 hours, making it quite difficult for the marquee to be erected. The marquee (held around 800 bodies) actually never went up until 10pm, so that meant the system and decor wasn't set up until 11.30pm, by this time there was about 200 people. The music came on at 12pm and now there were 400 people( and growing by the minute) wandering around wondering when the fun would begin . Party people please take note, keep your sound down at the beginning of the evening if there are neighbours near by, wait until they have gone to bed before cranking it up, it can save alot of problems with the complaints and P.C Plod. It has worked for us on numerous occasions, it could work for you too! Think about it!

The beer tent was one of the first tent's erected (of course!) but no beer, the tea, coffee, hot chocolate and ice cream stall was dealing with that one though. The gyroscope lady was late, she never arrived until 1am, but went down like a storm when she got things spinning along nicely, a queue as long as the field. Then finally the beer arrived at 2am and now the site was overflowing with true party people in a true party style.

There was supposed to be a barn at our disposal as well as a marquee, unfortunately the barn was not available this week-end but as luck would have it, a call came in on the mobile from a bunch of guys (whom none of us knew) who had heard about the bash, they just happened to have a 7k sound system and tarps, asking if there was room for them to come and play with us.

Of course there was, they were called Vega and were from Suffolk, their spirits had been dampened by the Cuntstabulary in Peterborough who apparently blocked off roads leading to there event, we thank them for having the guts to ring us and ask, that€s all it takes you know. So now the car-park (one of the fields) was completely full and over-spilling on the farmer's lane. At a rough guess we all reckon that there was around 1200 faces, all happy ones, running round having an absolute ball. The musical taste for the evening was a varied one, consisting of hard-funky house, tripping-along-nicely-trance, tit-banging techno, subtle-but-sweet-French house and of course not forgetting good-old-skanking dub & reggae for the morning worshippers who never want to go home.

Not one complaint from the near-by neighbours and only one Panda car monitoring the situation from about 3 miles away, handing out producers like they were raffle tickets, get past him and your prize was an one of the best nights out in a field you were gonna have for a long, long time. The feed-back from this event varied from "the best party I have ever been to" to " it reminded me of how parties used to be" to " the best night of my life". We would like to thank all the people who made the effort to make it to this event, whether you were a party helper, trouper, or just a complete nutter, without all of you, where the hell would we go and what the hell would we do, and once again can we say a big "THANK-YOU" for keeping the party scene alive and true.
