I’ve known this guy for about 3 years. We hadn’t seen each other in over a year and I needed some advice about work. He suggested we go for a drink to chat and catch up. It took us a couple of weeks to meet because he’s very busy with his job but when we did meet:
He came to me, which is about an hour away from where he works, and paid for drinks.
He was very attentive, asked why I looked down and tried to cheer me up.
Knew what I was going to say before I said it.
Teased me about another guy and whether I was still in contact with this other guy.
Mentioned needing to head home because he was hungry – (was this a hint to continue onto dinner that I missed?!)
Told me it was good to see me.
He texted me afterwards to make sure I got home ok.
Since we met:
He always answers my messages, usually within a few hours, when I ask him something and he’s very helpful and supportive.
Texts – he replies instantly.
I asked him to read something over for me and he’s suggested that we meet again to discuss over drinks.
Is he nice and being a good friend or could he be interested? What can I do to know for sure without just coming straight out and telling him?
