  • don’t do it mate you’ve gone this far without partying u may aswell see it out. parties will always be there, you might think its unmissable but another one just as good will be round soon enough

Don’t do it! Your exams come first.

Personally I’d give it a miss but then I know that without question I would not be able to cope with an exam on a comedown. Plus it’s not long left now until the exams are over, just over 2 weeks and you can get fucking munted without having to worry!

Hmm ok thanks guys. I reckon I’ll give it a miss this time. My friends do have their ways about persuading me though:/ haha

Personally I’d do it, but I’d definitely regret it.. There will always be more parties

Your friends arent being very kind!

You have your whole life to party bro, just get these exams over and done with and then reward yourself at the end.

    good luck 🙂

just a heads up, they are changing all the exams to the old way like when I had to take them (which probably is ancient history era to you :laugh_at: so if you fuck up this year it will be harder to retake modules, its all or nothing. this is because our dysfunctional British society thrives on division and competition above consensus and the govt want to make us compete with the Chinese kids (having forgot that China has a lot more state funding of manufacturing industries and innovation so there are jobs even for the non academic types).

you come across as intelligent and caring and would probably not enjoy the party anyway because you are para about your exam. there is also a worst case scenario – that if the event is unlicensed or even if its legal but the feds stop the car you are in, that the driver and passengers are caught with drugs and the car is seized and only returned on Monday.

So you miss your exam anyway, and will have to tell your 6th form head what happened. Its possible they may already know as the local cops have access to school and college records. That also means you and your family get notified to Social Services as the fact you took a risk with drugs around exam time is viewed as borderline problematic use. It may seem excessive but is actually more likely if you are intelligent/middle class as they genuinely want to try and get you “back on the right track” (its called “early interventions” or something like that)

Also I don’t mean to sound too harsh but your “friends” (unless they are older and have already done their exams) are going to be the sort what end up either on giro or going from one dead and job to another (and getting a reputation from local employers as a liability because they miss every Monday) or they just burn out and become middle aged at 25 like many round here simply because they did too much too young…

this whole area is being monitored because of the relatively poor performance in education of the younger folk even though its not some run down London borough full of gangs, and the bulk of the foreign population is well above school/college age and already qualified…

I’ve noticed loads of young people (especially on the rave scene) who are are not by any means stupid or backward but really have trouble expressing themselves or reading anything in even relatively basic English, or focusing on anything which does not provide immediate gratification for any sustained length of time. Many struggle to even set up their sound equipment correctly as they can’t understand the manuals or the basic scientific principles (the most common one is a belief in East Anglia that small generator sets can provide an infinite amount of electricity), or even lose money when selling or purchasing drugs due to poor maths skills.

When they try to put on a licensed event they often go for the “least effort option” and end up being dictated to by venue managers and the Police/security staff, being forced into less suitable venues such as townie clubs or abandoning the project simply because they lack the skills required to deal with stuff like licensing procedures / risk assessments or negotiate any charges for Police/Emergency Services…. they then wonder why “posh middle class hipsters from London” manage to get licenses in our region (or simply go to these events instead)..

I’m not sure what you are being taught in history and your teacher may be as crap as the one Deezl mentioned but the local history of East Anglia (particularly recent stuff like the widespread construction of aerodromes and other military installations from WW II to the Cold War) is much more interesting than it may seem..

Go out but don’t do any hardcore drugs, stick to light lasting effects like K or some psys. Win win! oh and go home at a reasonable time

Don’t be on a monday comedown & go. fuck md man… did md and amfet @ field day and not much n the comedown was filth.. ain’t done that for ages..

They seem to be changing the exam system almost every year which i find quite odd. It’s hard to say how well I’ve done at this stage but i do know i could’ve done a lot more work for it. All i can do is hope, not much point worrying about it!

I definitely know several people who fit into that category haha. I think i’m just gonna miss it this time, there will be tonnes in the summer and i have 3 months off so it’s all good. I don’t really trust myself in a rave environment without indulging in some kind of substance use lol

this is one time I really hope the fed are reading this thread and they and all their criminologists (there are profs at UEA etc monitoring the East Anglian party scene) see the reality of at least some the young people involved in our scene are like…

    Amphet? Uugghh!

    MD on the other hand…..yumyumyumyumyumyumyumyumyumyumyumyum!

when I was taking amfet in my teens it was diverted proper pharms, not contaminated / impure street level stuff, though at that age it doesn’t do your academic performance much good because you are not yet able to focus on one subject even without taking drugs.

MDMA was not affordable to teenagers back then. I dread to think what would happen if I were a teenager again, I’d last about 3 weeks in high school before being expelled and probably sectioned.
