pills are about £3 to £10 each in UK, the stamp/design is irrelevant as the forumulation of what is actually in the pills varys wildly.
A trusted batch of good pills are £10 each, the £3 ones have way less MDMA (if any). Unfortunately all price ranges could now have PMA in them which can be a fatal OD, whoever is putting that stuff in the pills has worked out how to fool marquis tests, and NL is reducing its pill testing and distribution of safety info due to pressure from right wing via austerity measures, and concerns that the paperwork from pill testing charities are being used for international dealing in the same was a CE statement is used for selling electronic gadgets.
TBH I think there was PMA about in the 90s, but the higher price and lesser availability of pills meant that they were consumed in halves and doing 2 was seen as risky, let alone 4 / 5 / 10. In any case most youths who got greedy were nicked for other crime like shoplifting/theft/fraud to fund the cost of drugs before they actually managed to OD.
Even in the late 90s when I had one night consumed what was about 4 pills in total my heart rate suddenly went up and breathing became hard, to the point immediately walked out of the place I was in.
It was in the East of Reading, so I walked in the direction of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, taking the same routes used by the Ambulance service to and from the Emergency Department the idea being that if I went over before I got to the ED, the surrounding area would be full of healthcare workers anyway. Thankfully I recovered halfway along the walk to the point I decided I didn’t need to hand myself in at the ED (and am still here) but it did give me enough of a scare to cut down for a bit…
