what's going on?

12.20am we arrive at the meeting point and loads of cars are already there...at least 50-60! After waiting for about 10 minutes, the horn goes and the convoy gets going. I luckily manage to get quite close to the front. We head up the A34 one junction, and the sight of all those cars is very impressive. We snake through the Oxfordshire country roads for 3-4 miles with a few passing cars getting stuck in the middle! Turn up a small single tracked road which really does lead us into the middle of nowhere!

We arrive at the venue, a small hut (which apprently is some sort of youth hostel) which has already got going, with a fair few people milling about. Three systems have been set-up, BDi in the hall & Ooops & Silverscreen have been set-up outside. After about an hour or so, everybody has arrived and are filling up the dance floors. 150 people or so at the peak. Some nice tunes coming out of the hall - which also has some MC's on the go and even a playstation set-up with demos running.

I stayed in the hall for most of the night, as it was the only one playing techno/uplifting tunes. The other two were playing dnb, with a fourth system turning up at about 3am (after being to another site, which was a bit quiet).

At about 9am we started to make a move home - when one of my mates snapped his key in his car lock! A call and directions were given to the AA (I wasn't even that sure where we were!). Three of the four soundsystems packed up with Ooops still going. In the meantime a few odd sights were noted, including Sunday cyclists, and four people on horses coming straight through the site. (Soundsystem was turned down for the horses). A lone policeman turned up, but swiftly left. Even a game of golf had started. The soundsystem started to pack up at 10am, plently of people moaning, and some bloke stuck his car stereo on with shite ragga pumping out - it was decided that the party couldn't leave on this note and the system was put on again until at least 11.30am.

The Locksmith turned up at 11am with his son who were quite surprised to see this all going on, he did a great job of fixing the broken key and big shouts out go to the AA for finding us!!! nice one!

All in all a wicked night out, with the usual suspects floating about....
