what's going on?

Found myself up in town with nothing to do this weekend so i got some people together and we made our way to the land of abandoned buildings - sunny east London. Got there about one-ish only to see quite a lot of police milling about. so, fingers crossed we went in and had a look around.

The building was typical of most squats in this area; tall stair well, lots of rooms, shitty toilets but nice and big. There were about 5 systems there; Headfuk and Illuminati playing jungle, one in the basement doing gabba (Crossbones?) and another (though which one or what it was playing I can't remember) on a middle floor. I spent most of the night up top in the Headfuk room, and as usual they had a good sound, played through a nice system.

That's not to forget the resident dds crew who (surprise surprise) spent the whole night jacking people and giving out attitude on the stairs and generally just fucking up the party's atmosphere. There seemed to be more smart looking people at this party than i'd seen before, clubbers all dolled up in their reebok classics and even one guy in quite a sharp looking suit....by dawn though most of us were covered in sticky black tar from the floor or something like that anyway.

I left at about 8 on sunday morning, collapsed into a chair on the tube and slowly made my way home across the river. it had been a good night, saw loads of old faces, but also some i'd rather not see at parties.....I still don't understand why people go out looking for trouble, or why they try and find it at parties but I suppose that's something you just have to get used to, maybe one day they'll get bored.....maybe one day we'll get bored of them....whatever. cheers Headfuk once again. a night to remember.
