Headfuk, IRS and FRS had linked up in the bottom room playing aphrodite style jungle all night with some hip hop thrown in here and there. As usual it was a nice big system, plenty of noise and some pretty good djs too. On the same floor were two other rooms - a small auditorium and a little room at the bottom of some stairs - playing gabba/acid techno sort of thing for most of the night. Then squeezing through a barrage of people on the staircase you came to another little rig (more like a ghetto blaster) playing drum n bass really quietly. I think I remember a big game of table football somewhere around here (?), but, you know, sometimes the mind does funny things.
Up another floor was a little landing with a bar and then the main cinema, lit up with a huge lighting system. The screen had been replaced by a dancefloor and the whole room was rammed all night. By about 4 or 5 the place was getting a bit full so I went downstairs to the Headfuk room again and stayed there. For once I hardly noticed any attitude at this party. It sounds wierd for me to say that since my mate got beaten up, and I saw some Italian guy on the night with some pretty nasty looking facial damage, on the whole the atmosiphere was fairly relaxed. I've noticed a lot of people talking about a darkside to London squat parties but I didn't see much of it this time. Yeah there were the usual screw faced types around but I never felt hassled by them. Although I won't try telling my friend that. All in all a pretty cool party. One bus home,from outside, nice warm bed at the end of it. Nice one to all the systems involved....

The main auditorium was still rocking when we left about 6pm on the Sunday... mad one.
The sound systems I was aware of (s'cuse I if I've missed any out):
FRS, IRS and Headfuk in Screen 3
Damage Control, Stinky Pinky, Scallywag in Screen 2
Mainline, Underground Sounds, Twisted in Screen 1
Malfaiteurs, Red Eye and someone else in the various foyers
As you can see, it could only have been the party it was through co-operation of the sound systems... we had a nice 17k in our room but would never have been able to fill it out soundwise on our own... definitely the way forward!
Also meant a nice breakup of musical styles when you've got different rigs
playing in the same room... well at least in theory coz we had to deal with
one tekno set and the rest of the night being boring up-front drum&bass...
what a fucking rave though!
