Around 100 or so people were there throughout the night, could have done with a few extra people, but the friendlyness of everybody made up for it. A fire was started to keep everybody warm - as it was pretty cold during the night, at one point the party only had a handful of people standing around the fire....then out of nowhere loads of people appeared and were dancing. I suppose they were in their motors... or at the small Dub rig that turned up during the night.
As it was getting lighter, me and mate went off for a walk along the Ridgeway, got a good way away from the party, and looked out across the green rolling hills - to see someone/thing coming towards us. It was about 6am, and the sun was just breaking through. The person who was running towards us - was totally naked! wierd! we watched as this bloke ran straight past us, and continued in the direction of the party. He ran straight through and didn't stop. Weekly naked run I guess. An hour later and he comes back on a bike! still naked! stops by the party fire, warms himself up, and carries on. most amusing to everyone at the party!
After this things started to get really busy. The sun was high in the sky, it was really warm, and I was sat down chilling out in the sun. In the next hour or so, we saw horse riders come through the party, as well as moto-cross bikers, 4x4 drivers, cyclists, (clothed) joggers, pissed off walkers, car drivers...loads of activity... and considering we were in the middle of nowhere, it was quite a surprise.
About 10am, the police turned up, they didn't get out of their 4x4, but someone told them that the party was finishing up. They left. A final Drum and Bass set came on, and the party finshed around 11am. Great night, great tunes and plently of surprises!
