what's going on?

Saturday rolls around again, and the weathers not looking good - it's raining hard. We decide to head up to Oxford, for a party being held by Tribe of Isis and Datsound in a big old house. We find the venue without too much trouble, park up and head over to two bright spotlights. Going around to the front door, we pay a donation, and enter the hallway.

First impressions of the party, is that a lot of hard work has gone into making this old house a fluoro heaven. UV tubes in the hallway light up the fluoro wrapped staircase. The main room had Datsound's couple of K rig in there, playing techno. A couple of brightly lit coloured lights span round the room filling the dark corners with temporary rainbows. The strobe also making walking difficult, and resulted in several clashes with other disoriented people. We found a sofa in here, and made it base.

Back out in the hallway, and into the next room. Every single inch of wallspace was covered with fluoro backdrops. The ceiling had a huge parachute in the middle, and a couple of UV tubes provided the fluoro to glow brightly and light up the whole room. Bouncy trance rocked the room all night. Wicked vibe in there, but a bit too hot.

Along the corridor, past the coat hanger room! and we found a Cinema room. A smallish room, with a big projector, with what looked like classic Kung Fu movies being played when I stuck my head in. Not enough room to get settled though.

Up the stairs, and we find a bedroom, with a small rig, and bar, and people everywhere. The room next to this, has a live band playing! Bob Marley covers when I stop by, sounded really really good. Makes a nice change to have a bit of variety at free parties. This is definitely the way forward... Wicked party, great night had by all.
