what's going on?

After a hot sunny day at the Cannabis Festival in Brockwell Park, hanging around Exodus and Headfuk systems, I was pretty knackered. (far too much walking for 1 day!) Eventually getting home & sorting ourselves out, we left Reading and drove up to Oxford, for a party being put on by POD up at Cholsey Down. Four other rigs arrived during the night, for what turned out to be a fantasic night on the Ridgeway.

The main system being POD, pumped out trance and techno all night, and had a pretty full dancefloor right up until we left at 6am. Nightstorm were on the case close by, serving up, noisey tea. The GM Soundz rig made an appearance, and setup their system near by (Jason!?!?!). Down by the entrance, Adrenalin Soundsytem had setup, blasting out MC'd Drum and Bass, and kept the vibe alive all night down there. Silver Haze soundsystem were around, as well as the J14 techno rig, playing dub and all sorts.

The weather managed to hold up all night, and was pretty warm. Despite the weather reports scaring me with stories of thunderstorms. At least 50-60 cars were parked all over the place, there would have been a few more, but the police blocked off the entrance for a few hours around 2am. People just parked up outside the entrance, and walked the mile or so along the bumpy track before eventually turning up! hey Niki! get there earlier next time! hehehe. A police chopper few over at 3am, and checked on the party, before flying off, almost as soon as it had got there. No heavenly lightshows!

Great night, with the atmosphere being genuinely electric. top top night, although I need a 4x4 really urgently!
