what's going on?

Got the party details off a mate in a pub in Reading town centre, and we assembled a group of partygoers after closing time, to proceed to the venue by foot (knowing full well that the local rozzers have a tendency to stop and search individuals who they think might be on their way to parties, security in numbers prevails).

Fortunately it wasn't too far away - a terraced town-housed office building, just outside Reading town centre, that had been squatted. I got there at about 2:30 am, and threw a couple of quid in the donation bucket.

It was a very drum-and-bassey affair, with Junkchun Ten playing DnB on the first floor, and OooPs! Sound System playing more DnB up on the top floor. Full credit going to Poison from OooPs! for an amazing set.

The party organisers were paranoid about OB turning up - which wasn't surprising given the location, and that the party could be heard banging from two blocks away! - but suffice to say the event went smoothly with no hassles.
