Through the low fire doors we dropped down into the basement - to be greeted by some hip-hop tunes from 909 Sound State, who had set up in the main low-celing front basement area (a bloody good arena for holding a party in too). Junkchun Ten were setting up in the back room on the same level. By the time that they had got their drum and bass system banging, 909 Sound State were playing early 90s rave, which then turned into very hard techno and gabber - which kind of lost them the crowd, with only at most a handful of people dancing at any one time.
The Junkchun Ten room was packed all night, their lights, strobes and laser working particularly effectively in the confined space. There was a good chilled crowd, who braved the elements to dance, many in their scarves, gloves and wooly hats, all night. (though a few had managed to find K-holes to fall into, and some tosser had kicked in all the loos).
I left at about 6:45am, party still banging. Not bad as a practice run for New Year's Eve.
