Christmas Common - 'where the fucks that', come shouts from the back of the motor.

Somewhere near the M40 we find the meeting point. 12am. We've come from spending the day at Reading Festival (for free) and blown out the Exodus mini festival to party with BDi and Odyssey soundsystems.

The meeting point, in a forestry commission car park takes a while to fill up with various party people in their cars. By 12.30 the horn goes on the lead car, we follow, cross over the M40 and turn down a lane with a nature reserve car park at the end of it. Parking the car up down the narrow road we hear the tunes from across the field. Taking a walk up to the car park, we see the setup. Odyssey from Oxford have a 5k rig on the go playing hard techno. Whist BDi have a slightly smaller rig playing trance and techno, although they have lights!

Quite a few of the usual suspects turn up, but the soundsystem have to fight for the crowd, which keeps switching between the two systems depending on the tunes. Some good contacts are made at this party - and loads of people I've met since say they were there. No Police turned up - which is always a good thing. I wish I had gone for a walk, as I've now discovered that five minutes walk away is the M40 cutting - you know the big cutting in the motorway going through a hill and a superb view would be guaranteed! gutted.

We make a move about 7am, pretty tired, and head back to a mates. Great party, with lots of new important contacts made! That night we head back to Reading Festival to see the Beastie Boys - crap sound - not loud enough (New Order were good though). Followed by Nottinghill Carnival on the Monday. A long weekend!
