what's going on?

"okay it's cold now - really fucking cold". It's 6am and my car has started to ice on the inside. lets rewind a few hours....

BDi are set to do a party tonight, I'm a bit worried about the weather, but I'm sure BDi will sort out a decent undercover venue. We leave Reading at 11.24, meeting point in Oxford is at 11.30 - oh dear, doesn't look like were going to get there in time for the convoy. Chug-a-bug Mark in his VW golf is also slowing us down. We make it up to the empty meeting point at 12 midnight, we've only missed everyone else by five minutes, luckily I know someone with a phone already at the party site. We get directions.

We turn down a track which gradually gets worse, I scrape the underneath of my car a few times, but that's now standard at every party! We eventually get down to the site and park up quite close to the front. Lots of cars and people everywhere. Mutant Pollutant soundsystem turn up at the same time as us, and start to get set-up. We can see a shed, with tunes coming out of it. BDi are setup in there. Trying to get to the shed is another matter - a ditch inbetween the cars and the shed catches a few people out including me!

Inside are about 100 people - it's a lot warmer in here. BDi have a pretty good setup as usual. DnB and techno are the flavor for the tunes tonight. I meet up with a few of the usual suspects floating about. Mutant Pollutant have now got there system setup, and have a fancy light show also on the go. The MC there is pretty shit hot, not that I normally like MC's, but I have to say he was very good.

Police turn up about 1.30 and check out the site - they don't do anything though. Junction 10 soundsystem have a dud generator, so they give up and pack up. Quality tunes throughout the night from the other two systems.

My car makes a good base for my mates, and we spend a bit of time in there, listening to Mutant Pollutant and their DnB sets. It's starting to get pretty cold by now, so we move inside to the warmth. The atmosphere is excellent and loads of people are dancing. By about 5am the police turn up again and shut down Mutant Pollutant - I guess for being to noisy. BDi are left alone luckily. We head back to the motor for a few J's - it's started to ice up inside, I get the scraper out! We soon get it warm by switching the engine on. After wandering about a bit more we retire permanently to the car and eventually head off about 7am, leaving BDi to carry on. It's misty on the way home - fucking misty! I drive slowly.

wicked night out - and if this is anything to judge the future summer parties by then it's gonna be a corker!
