what's going on?

We hear of a party happening in a disused warehouse about a 20 minute drive away. We make it up to the site around midnight, to find the place deserted. We park up and wander around the back of the building and bump into some bloke who tells us the party is happening. He shows us to a door (marked 23) and we enter the basement of the building.

The basement is quite big, with a very low ceiling. We go for a wander around the building. Agro soundsystem are already setup and pumping dark DnB in a small room. Junction 10 is in the next room and they're also playing DnB. The large 12 speaker Livid system in the main room are still getting all their stuff sorted, and it takes them a further hour or so before they're happy with the setup. Acid Tekno eventually starts up from the Livid system - a good setup with tracker lights, strobe, smoke machine, backdrops and those 12 speakers! Not too many people are there by 1am, but slowly the place fills up to decent sized crowd. About 150-200 people or so at the peak.

Going for a further wander, we find a set of stairs leading to the room above. No soundsystem up here, but plenty of space to chill out and get away from the heavy bass. Throughout the night, rope swings and even an attempt at getting an aerial runway setup happen in this room. We find a hole in the middle of the room, about half a metre across - music pumps up thru from downstairs, and people occasionally wandering pass underneath us. - We sit around this for ages, making it a nice alternative to a campfire - dark acid tekno hole it is named by us.

Back downstairs and quite a few people are on the Livid dancefloor. The music wasn't too bad from Livid, pretty heavy stuff - but suited to the location. Agro soundsystem have the small hot room bursting to it's seems with people dancing. Some great DnB is played in here, with strange noises coming out of the room all night. Junction 10 keep the party going in the other room, with quite a crowd dancing to the dark DnB they're playing.

Around 4am and it starts to get light upstairs in the chillout room, downstairs however remains dark with absolutely no light whatso ever - it's quite smoky as well. We dance for a bit longer, before making a move at 6am. good party, in an interesting location.
