what's going on?

Saturday night rolls around again, and it fucking pissing it down hard. We have serious doubts about driving up to High Wycombe for the Kreos party, but have nothing better on the agenda. Getting to the meeting point for 11.15, not too many people have turned up but after a while we have a decent amount of cars ready and waiting for a party. We give a lift to a couple of people who have come up to the meeting point by train!

Leaving the meeting point at 12.00, we follow the convoy down a familar looking country road. We head up to an old spot used before by Kreos - good location....but a bit muddy - to say the least!

We make it up to the track which leads to a hut. It's muddy! My car slips and slides around. I park up, but get hit by a van sliding about - not much damage, small scratch. Reverse back up the track, swing around, wheel spinning and park up on a nice grass patch. sorted.

Inside Kreos have set-up their rig in the room with the sofas! No lights, unlike last time, but a lot more techno is played. This time another soundsystem turned up and setup in the storage barn joined onto the building. It was dry and warm in here, good tunes with a bit of varity. Dub at beginning, Techno, then Drum and Bass.

It stopped raining at about 2am, so I head over to Nightstorm for a cup of tea. No problems with the generators tonight, and the music keeps pumping from both systems.

by 4am, it's starting to get light, and it's carnage outside, cars are having real problems trying to move about on the track. One or two do sneaky manoeuvres across the field. A couple of people with 4x4's help move stuck cars. The valley down the hill starts to get greener with the daylight - such a nice view at that time of the morning.

Started to make a move back to Reading at 6am. Lovely drive home - through four counties, took me ages - even gave a couple of hitch-hikers a lift home. Nice night, despite the weather - isn't it meant to be summer?
