what's going on?

After getting back from my hols, I was a bit tired, but felt I couldn't stay in on a Saturday night. I gathered up a couple of people and drove up to the M40 to a party being put on by Section 63 in a tunnel running underneath the motorway.

Driving down a small side road just off the motorway, we came across quite a few cars parked up on the grass verges, squeezing past one or two of the cars we find a space. Taking a wander down the muddy track that led to the tunnel we can see the bright tracker lights making a once grey drab tunnel into a temporary dance arena.

Muddy wasn't the word.. the floor kinda of stuck to you making dancing twice as hard. We took a look around. The system was setup at one end and the Nightstorm cafe was up the other end of the tunnel. Weird to think hundreds of cars passing over our heads, while the drivers were totally oblivious to the madness happening down below.

When we arrived a decent Techno set was on, which was followed by a really good old skool set with some real classics thrown in. About 200 people were there at the peak, which gradually thinned out when the Drum and Bass came on.

When I first got to the party I had heard a wierd echo in the surrounding hills, after listening for a bit, I came to the conclusion that another party was happening close by. I kinda of figured where it would be, as another site about 1/2 a mile away had been used before.

Me and my mates had a really good time down in the tunnel, but felt it was time to check the other party out once the Drum and Bass came on. We walked back down the track, and climbed back in the motor to get back on the motorway and headed up to the (supposed) other party. Part 2
