Do any of u guyz no how long thc stays in ur blood for.?
it’s very hard to predict
some regular users seem able to claer their system in a matter of days.. others may take more than a month
some fat people store thc in their fat cells for even longer than that… but some skinny people also have this ‘problem’ as well
it’s individual, basically, but a month or more is long enough for many people
hope that helps
*the prison service has recognised that because thc stays in the blood so long, many inmates use hard drugs instead as they are less likely to be caught out… a worrying reality 🙁
what globalloon says is correct – and if you need privacy or you are asking it because you are in trouble – fair enough but one thing I would add is that if you are asking this because you are being tested for a job application – is it worth giving up your human rights/privacy to get this job?
If the prospective employer is that set on testing and removing drug users from their employ; either you will end up having to quit (either the job or recreational substance use) anyway, or you will be living in constant paranoia and anger which will not be good for any party concerned.
Even a dream job could turn into a nightmare because of this.
furthermore if people do not make a stand by refusing to work for employers which carry out such testing, there is a danger that it will become commonplace for everybody – something which has already happened in some countries and some industries.
If you are in one of these countries/industries, then I’d suggest saving up your money and looking for other work/or setting up your own business and refusing to test any employees you may have.
OK drugs are illegal but you still have the right to be innocent until proven guilty; which in European countries often translates to an unofficial understanding that if drugs aren’t preventing you from working properly (including by destroying your health) or making you harm anyone else there isn’t really a problem to society by your use of them!
If we do not fight for the rights to lifestyles when there is opposition to them, those rights will be taken from us.
Remember people, there’s a war on…
yeh schools are starting to do it…when rumours of drugs testing went arround most of my mates stopped…was i fuck i liked smokin weed an i didnt like my school so if i got kicked ou for refusin then im still innocent an they lose one of their best pupils….yeh legal advice is 28 days but if ur stuck search around ull find this shit u drink it an it cleans most of it out ur system not al but most so use it if yr extra paranoid. yeh they didnt do tests so evry1 else got well pissed off i just had pinkeye.
shit – I knew a school in Kent (England) recently started testing, but does this mean that Scotland have actually been doing it for ages?! 🙁
you have a choice of employer or where you go for social activities but few teenagers have a choice of which (secondary)school they can attend.. its getting bad as I’ve heard of kids being disciplined even for writing about drugs in legitimate school work projects (like science or sociology A-level projects) as the schools don’t want to admit that kids actually may take drugs there.
its worse also if you get done when you are juvenile as cops and education department both have access to the files and they stay with you until you are 18 – even if you quit secondary school and go to college the college is usually run by the same education department – your “card is marked”
but IMO if you throw young people on the scrap heap at an early age for minor stuff you are creating a next generation of seriously disaffected, angry people who are far more likely to turn to crime and violence than if people adopted a more tolerant attitude..
aye….nah i was at a private (fee payin) school but they might be introducin it here as standard neway….fuck it tho im not at school nemor.
thanks for the info…
I also left school a good few years ago – but IMO its essential we fight our corner for the younger generations as well. They are the future of this scene, and anything that may dissuade them from partying should be challenged.
A particular concern of mine would be that if drug testing becomes commonplace, teenagers who were obviously interested in the urban music scene and showed this in school (perhaps by the music they played or listened to, or other signs like their arts projects being influenced by graf/street art) would be targeted over other students as “urban music has a drug culture” 🙁
A student who committed an act of violence or serious crime at their place of education because of drugs should of course always be excluded – but its incorrect to assume every user would become violent. Authorities should be looking for signs of violent behaviour (which affect non-drugs users), not just drugs use
