This is to let you all know that because we’re changing SSL certificate provider next month. A change which should be completely transparent to all and cause no problems at all. There remains the small possibility of client side certificate pinning errors which might prevent some users from accessing our web site(s). The screenshot below is an example of the error in question.
And the following explains how to fix the issue on the client side if the problem does occur.

Thank you and our apologises for any inconvenience!
There was a problem with a web site theme upgrade to our web site a couple of days ago which caused it to become unavailable for a while unfortunately, made worse by our not picking up on the fact right away. Regardless everything is now back to normal. So our apologizes for this inconvenience. However please try to report any further issues should they happen in future to the usual address at submitpvc@gmail.com. Thanks!
For any of you with an interest in these things I’ve just spent the last three days tuning the performance of our three websites: www.partyvibe.com, www.partyvibe.org and www.radio-directory.me. All three have grown bulky and slow since I first brought them online a little over a year and a half ago (so long already?!), so it was time to do something about it. And hopefully things should be greatly improved from now on. I’ve attached a chart showing the change from vBulletin to WordPress and the optimisations I’ve applied. On a side note www.partyvibe.com and www.partyvibe.org have also both started to see significant improvements in their google search rankings and the amount of traffic that brings with it, so here’s hoping the trend continues. Anyway I hope you like these improvements. More developments on similar topics as they happen…
Having done some quick testing over the last 24 hours the first major new feature of our new forum which I would like to introduce to you all is push notifications. So I bought into an application today which will allow us to receive notification to Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers, and be notified on some mobile devices. Triggers are a new forum thread, a new blog post and a new donation. The system is opt-in for anyone who visits the web site. You can unsubscribe by clicking the bell icon and the bottom left of every page. Let me know what you think.
Enjoy!
Strictly speaking the problems of the last 24 hours we’re the result of my over hardening our SSL certificate security configuration, sorry about that! But the thing is I’ve been tiring of vBulletin for years already. As a platform the software is going nowhere, looks very dated, upgrades are lots of work when they go well and support is increasingly poor. So after 16 years both happy and sad to say that I’m planning now to migrate us over to new software. More soon as things develop, it’s going to take a while to get this done. But I’ll keep you posted with developments…
Here it is. It’s our 19th birthday this week! Well tomorrow in fact to be exact since www.PartyVibe.com was originally registered on the 8th December 1997 but heh. So. In honor of this day what we’d like to do is invite you all to join our celebration…
As of now all drugs and sex sub-forums, the chat room and forum statistics table are visible and accessible to Member level users and above only including all search engines and fb registered members. The same goes for all banner advertising. I hope you like the change.
For anyone who’s interested I’ve just put an order in for a hardware upgrade to a better CPU and a pair SSDs instead of old hat spinning rust. If all goes well it should go live for us in the next week or so, just as soon as I’ve had a chance to built it all and migrate everything over. Yay!
So guys I’m totally exited about the possibility of our having an annual bash again this year particularly having missed out last year. Whether you’re interested in helping out or playing let us know. I will start chasing up all the usual suspects and maybe a few new faces and a surprise guest or two. And I’m going to check with our man DA see if he’s available to run the show… more soon. Bounce, bounce, bounce!

For reasons that will be obvious to any remaining members of this forum who knew the place before the changes of tge last couple of years I’ve just temporarily, maybe permanently, closed a number of sub-forums under Love, Sex & Relationships. And I’m also contemplating migratng the Rave section back over from .com. What do you recon?
