Just seen an ad on this site for khat. Anyone ever tried it? What does it do? Its supposed to be easy to get from african food shops.

your better off asking someone from somalia! they ship in about a ton of the stuff into heathrow each week for the somalian population in london, pretty cool that they get there local drugs shipped all the way over to here.

Never tried it but am extremely curious.

You can buy it from online head shops fairly easily. Have read up in quite a bit and it seems failry similar to coke: keeps you awake, chatty (probably selfish) but ultimately quite a nice hit (and for a fraction of the price)

Was thinking of an extraction and crystallization for it as it shouldn’t be too hard at all. That way you don’t have to pick twigs out of your mouth every time you fancy some…… and it’d work a hell of a lot quicker.

Also legal which is always a bonus, especially after what happened last night, but that’s another story all together (and not for this thread). :get_you:

supposed to be an ethnic food shop round here somewhere that sells it. Haven’t found it yet, heard its easy to get in london (but then what isn’t)

Yeah seems easy to get hold of but without a bank account i cant pay for it. Would rather try a bit before splashing out on it. Was reading an article yesterday (think it was in the independant) on the lawlessness in Somalia and it was saying about criminal gangs armed to the teeth wandering about fucked on khat. Seems to be a big trade over there. I wonder if it is very habit forming?

I’ve tried it before, the somalians I was with were striping the stalks and just chewing on them for ages. I sat and chewed for a good few hours and I felt no sense of euphoria really but I was certainly very alert & wired. I went out clubbing after & when I got home at 6 in the morning I couldn’t sleep at all (I had taken a bunch to the club & chewed all night). It seems to definatly keep you wide awake for a long time but I couldn’t really say that it is a euphoric buzz. I think you can make a tea with it as well

LOL Khat is a wickid legal high! you can buy it from Bovingdon market just outside Hemel Hempstead.
Warning Khat is illegal in the USA, if you are caught importing it you will get deported and will not be allowed back in the USA for an indefinate period (just ask my mate Ed, 2 days in an airport detention cell then lead from the cell in handcuffs to the plane and then sat handcuffed a US customs officer for the flight back……..mind you, he did have a suitcase full of the shit!) oh and this is also true for poppers !

trying to find Khat for ages and can’t find any headshop or any enthobotanical store selling it and it’s legal in uk so why isn’t there the high demand? this stuff is great alternative to speed, if anyone can find legal and legit supplier pm me.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s as good as speed!

Obviously everyone is different, but for me they are two very different things.
