hi im dutch and missing the shit from my home country… mod edit : email removed
you cannot do this so openly on a UK forum – or as you might have heard in NL “dat mag niet” 😉 : unlike NL the police controls do go after small time users and leaving a online data trail makes it easy for them to find you.
cops are all over this site especially at the weekends and around party seasons looking for stuff like this.
At the moment English people are being sent to prison for pathetic small amounts which in Holland seem to just get you kicked out of the event a few hundred euros lighter in your pocket, a friend of ours from this forum has only just been released.
I was born in that part of London and grew up there, and drugs aren’t that difficult to find associated with the crowds who attend dance music events there but they come from NL anyway. Beware also that as a Dutch person newly arrived to London, the Police might simply think “you are the dealer”.
What sort of music do you like? where I live there aren’t any dance events, to the point I was thinking of going to Holland at some point but for the smaller/more underground events rather than the big ones – Robbie4Ever who shares trance remixes with us reviewed an event at the Transformatorhuis which is just the right size…
Thanks for advice…. didnt know its here so serious.
In holland can find great events with different dance styles big and small. Especially in summer u will have fantastic outdoor events where people party in good harmony and high tollerance in drugs. If u go for the underground scene, u will find a lot in rotterdam…
I used to like hardstyle but through the years i calmed down and enjoy more the dance, trance and club music.
thanks 🙂 my music tastes also have moved from faster music (drum and bass as well) towards trance – but even trance events are hard to find in my area (only just across the North Sea!). They happen at the O2 arena in London sometimes, but travel costs here to London are so high it might be no more expensive to go to NL to party..
if we also had the concept of “gezelligheid” in England then it would be possible to party in a better way…
you want lekker blowen? think blowen is weed, i don’t know/can’t remember the name for drugs in dutch.

wiet (weed). hash is hasj
( “d” and “t” sounds are the same in NL but different in English, so “het bed” (the bed) rhymes_
blowen seems to be more often used a verb for smoking as in
(this was from some drugs help site)
‘Ik begon te blowen toen ik 17 jaar was. Nu ben ik 35 en merk dat ik niet meer zonder wiet kan. Ik blow elke dag zo’n 4 of 5 joints. Sinds ik dagelijks blow, kan ik me steeds slechter concentreren en kom ik tot niets meer
I began to smoke when I was 17. now I am 35 and find that I can do nothing without weed. I smoke each day around 4 or 5 joints. Since I smoke daily. my concentration is way worse and I have come to nothing (think he means that he has not achieved anything in life).
And if I smoked that much weed every day (especially from NL) I would probably have not done much either!
The word for drugs in Dutch is “drugs” 😉 and its originally a Dutch word – came from old Dutch droge vate (a vat (barrel)) containing dried goods or herbs (often used in medicines), which were purchased from foreign countries in such barrels and the abbreviation for this on shipping bills got turned into the modern word.
In Dutch “softdrugs” (no space between the two words) are what in UK are usually class B and below, “harddrugs” are class A.
