she is a real practicing vet too (so has genuine knowledge of healthcare and science) – I’m broadly supportive of the Greens but have always been a bit worried about the ones who just call themselves “professional activists” or worked as journos/spin doctors; in the same way I’ve got respect for the old style Labour politiicians who went down pit or made stuff in factories (the young woman round your way is impressive; I think she is some sort of top scientist boffin and its difficult for a black woman to advance in that career)
