hmm – AFAIK all the SE England rigs which attended had people clearing up trash, I personally hauled several bags into my friends van as we were leaving site..
we always do that round our way – apart from having respect for the environment it stops council workers, rentaguards and public sector officers who look after the British countryside from complaining to the old bill about rubbish(which is the sort of thing that gets gates put up everywhere)
If we want to keep the police/heddlu tolerating that site we MUST clear up better I found a locals message board like this one where people in tredegar and trefil village said they wanted better gates on the quarry entrance because “it was becoming the ashtray of gwent” or words to that effect.
