a very good event, went last 2 years, must say it is a refreshing change from the norm.
saw n met sum very nice peeps.
Aw yea, such a wicked time at the big chill. Not as much music to rave to as at other festivals but at the same time i fitted in a fair bit……could have found more if i could have been arsed.
Just a really nice festival full of happy battered people!! :weee: :bounce_ci
that was the first year ive been, and it was fucking brilliant – so well organised, wicked lineup, not too commercial, lots of random acts to be impressed by, well thopught out layout, i didnt think that the loos were that bad, compared to glasto and reading et al. altho one time was horrific, they kept on top of it for most of the fest. one of the best fests ive been to, and ive seen a few, so hats off to the big chill massive!
was it just me, or did it seem slightly pretentious and middle class tho? i spose thats what 120 quid tickets does, mine was a present from me lady. a lot of gazeebo, marking of territory and excessive home comforts, and a seeming competition as to who had the bigggest barbie.
the eco side of things was cool, lush site on a deer park, and noticably more respect paid to the site than most fests. shame there wasnt more in the way of interactive “green” exhibitions about the way forward, ala green feilds in glasto. the healing feild was a saviour on my saturady evening trip tho. sparklies!
