[T]emporary [A]utonomous [A]rt
2nd – 4th September
part of the Walthamstow Festival 2005
The building location is still top secret and will be released before the end of the week to all those eager to stick up work or look at it. But for now heres an initial detail of the weekends events for both the art exhibition and the Festival as a whole…
Friday 2nd
open: 2pm – 11pm – Opening Night. Drinks, cakes and installing artwerk. If you are an artist that hasnt arranged to install your work before hand then now is the time to come on down and put it up!
Walthamstow Festy – Open air cinema from 8pm
Saturday 3rd
Open: 11am – 11pm – Walthamstow arts Trail. open Gallery as part of the Festival programme. Tea and Cakes and Jumble.
6pm onward – Freeform Performance. Spoken word followed by Sonic art with confirmed act SPAX (http://www.newtoy.org) and Daedalus also watch out for something by icoulddobetterthanthat (.com). This is an open platform invitation to anyone with words or performance they wish to contribute. Please be get in touch or come and let us know on the day.
Walthamstow Festy – Mainstage MCs, DJs and skate boarding
Sunday 4th
Open: 2pm – 11pm – Main Festival Day. more Tea and Cakes.
8pm onwards – Open Access Film night. We already have quite a few confirmed films. mostly shorts, some fiction some fact, some with a political egde other just pretty or with a song. when we have titals from the makers I will update everyone. If you have a film you want to show, let us know and bring it down on the night. (we cant promise to show all films that havent been arranged before hand).
Walthamtow Festy – Main Day, 7 sound systems, street and circus performance, ballroom dancing and stalls.
Over the whole weekend we will have carnival mask + puppet making workshops going on, so come down and get creative.
There will also be a raffle where you could win a piece of original random artwork!
As we know more the site will be updated so keep checking out the progress on the evnts page.
Things we are asking people to bring with them:-
Cakes for the cafe.
Old sheets for puppet making.
Unwanted clothes for the jumble sale.
all proceeds go towards future events, but if you bring something with you you can swap it for something new.
