A few of us want to set up a VPN (virtual private network) to share multimedia files (pics/music/videos/webpage stuff). We all have broadband circuits with a max upstream of 256K in most cases – not massive so people will have to be aware of the limitations
The systems in use are a mixture of Windows 2000 and Win XP PCs, with a few Macs as well.
The way we would like it to work would be for each user to have an extra drive letter appear in “My computer” which would represent the VPN shared server..
we’ve tried a few experiments but couldn’t get it to work and there are concerns over security if using Windoze built in features..
whats the easiest and simplest way of going about this? (given that we don’t want to buy commercial software if possible but want everything to be secure as possible…)
