Plymouth’s longest running breakbeat night celebrates its 2nd birthday in June 2006. Plymouth is a city best known for its past as a former rave capital of the UK in the early 1990’s, however Magik Bullet has been adressing this situation by bringing some of the best up and coming breakbeat acts the UK has to offer. In the past 2 years acts
such as Control Z, Jnr Hacksaw, High Eight, Transformerman & Far Too Loud have graced the Magik Bullet turntables.
Now firmly established in their home at Tramps in Plymouth, a unique venue tucked away from the hoi poloi of chavs and troublemakers they continue to champion the true sound of the underground and bring back Far Too Loud (Funkatech/Silo/Broke Records) for their 2nd Birthday on June 10th. Support comes from DJ Markutz (DMC Finalist) who will be cutting and scratching his way through the creme of Electro house & Breaks.
Magik Bullet continues to champion local talent with strong links to free party organisations and other local promoters. In the coming months, we look forward to a visit from Future Funk Squad vs High Eight….
