      I hope not.

But I read in other threadsI

Revenge over the police (what good will that do)

Ravers commit violence amongst eachothers (not very smart)

People overdose on drugs (not the best image)

Trash are scattered everywhere(who wants to look at that in the nature, our big cities are filthy enough)

But the police should use their time catching the real criminals, and let the people party.

      true..

But its also a case of us ravers not becoming “real criminals”.

too many people from my generation did too many drugs, and not just refused to get “normal jobs” but started to live by first shoplifting, then car theft, then burglaries, then robbery, fighting and violence.

Some turned on their own friends and other people they loved when they tried to help them.

People I went to high school with and raved with have ended up doing prison time because of doing stuff like the above.

I am not talking about one or two people I know; perhaps 10 or 20 people.

As long as this goes on, the rest of society are going to keep on calling the cops to clamp down on raves and drug use. I do think things are slowly improving because there are sites like this to give decent advice, but things may not be improving quickly enough.

Raves will only die out if people continually make the wrong choices in life and increase the anti-rave feeling. At the moment there are still opportunities to socialise and listen to music.

Not smart at all, in fact very stupid. As if there ent enough shit happening between ravers and old bill without ravers fighting amongst each other. Think the ones that were fighting were argueing about Why they should and should not throw shit back at O.B

No of course not. It’s not exactly the first time the filth have used such force at a party is it.

the cops round here did exactly the same about 11 years ago when Leah Betts died (in fact it was worse as she was daughter of an Essex cop and he made it a personal crusade!)

Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk forces were working together on trying to close down as many rave venues as possible including heavy raids on licensed venues and formal objections to licenses – indeed this is the very reason why there have been so many unlicensed raves in East Anglia.

It made things difficult even for licensed promoters and it is still difficult today in some areas but it didn’t stop raves altogether.

Yes, you are completely correct. Although that doesn’t make me laugh as much.

Dont believe the hype…its all scare mongering …people will always party, as long as it is organised an kept low key…like outta the way i cnat see a problem…the problems arise when , the party is near a village or lacal area, loads of peeps turn up, the wrong kind of persons turn up an if the cops come they are cheeky an aggressive….keep it locked an everything should be ok…o’mon guys they couldnt stop the raves in the acid house days some got stopped but how many compared…we are still put there partying … i think its getting that more people are coming to these parties, to me smaller outdoor gatherings are nicer anyway…its not a crime t get together an have a good time…its a right …

we ve been dancing round fires to the beat of drums since time almost began c.mon.you cant stop this…!!!!! peace x

Very true.. if people would just let the organiser of the party deal with the police and not shout abuse and throw shit then the police are often alot more willing to let the party go ahead if it’s not disturbing anyone..

That’s why when the police turn up the organiser should take them away from the main part of the party where they can talk without idiots doing things.

All the shouts of fuk the police really don’t help anyone

        yeah thats completely right angel…

we went to a outdoor gathering not this year but one before an a shitload of boy races were there having a rally drive round the small lanes….it was mad, we had to lierally run for our lifes from our car cross the road …walk up to theparty…lol…funny now not at the time…the cops didnt come how come i dunno …they werent there to even party them lot…an again ive seen the public in the early hours walking their dogs past the party.yer know having a nosie…far do’s i prob do the same…lol but then ive heard of people at parties shouting stuff to them it makes us all look like thugs….they are the ones we have to watch…ive been to 2 parties outside this year an both were organised by genuine people who gave a fuk…an it all went smoothly next day …they went an you couldnt tell anyone had been there……….raaa respec

        above in reply to acidfairy….soz:love:

there will always be problems, but a lot of people seem to NEED repetitive beats, its a strong force driving people, and according to this article, actually changing peoples minds for the better, stopping ADD, Depression and all sorts, basically keeping us sane! Its not something that will easily be stamped out……
        http://www.stnews.org/commentary-2947.htm

cops don’t randomly turn up looking for raves, and TBH if they used all the surveillance techniques available to them they could stop many before they happened…

they are still only reacting when landowners or locals complain.

fighting cops is pointless, they are used to it nowadays.

People fight the cops anyway nearly every weekend in some areas after binge-drinking so the cops are increasingly used to using the riot gear and moving crowds out of areas.
