    Hello there,

There are some pictures and a very interesting article about the Wonky Disco weekend here: http://www.ausracing.net.au/forum/ObserverRaveArticle.pdf

I actually went on the same mad mission as the author that weekend!

I have attached some pictures from Cockfosters, none of the dance floor etc, but lovely scenery. I had hours of fun walking about away from the party!

I wonder if I met you MrIndeed.

    Cool pixxs

Ahaha we got lost walking away from that party… mmm we was going the complete wrong direction! Took us 3 hours to get to the train station!

He he, It took me ages to actually find the party walking all the way down cockfosters road and then seemingly doubling back on myself.

On the way out I thought I was completely lost but ended up coming out of Trent park directly opposite the tube station! What a result. I used to live in Enfield too, so only a very short journey home :weee:

That was a great party – did you find the maize maze?

You may have met me, I went to many Kent / London parties over the summer. Maybe you know some of my friends from thanet (lol, rachael, geoff etc?)

Better dash, this final year at uni is a bit too full on for me!!

    Take it easy

NB: if you do not know for sure the party was in a licensed venue or the promoters have given you permission to put the photos up in public then please share the photos only amongst yourselves (attachments to private emails etc)

Do not post them here or any other public gallery.

otherwise they get picked up both by cops and legal eagles working for property management companies can be used along with other evidence to bring people before Court for holding parties without the correct license.

Some people I know have just had a court case for this; their rigs were confiscated for two years, they got a £2000 fine each and some of them narrowly escaped going to jail.

I guess that is a fair point GL. Although these pictures contain nothing apart from the beautiful Enfield countryside. (i.e. no number plates of cars or people)

This particular party the photos are from was shut down quietly at around midday, the police even allowed the music to continue for an extra hour after coming on the scene as everyone agreed to a massive clear up of the area and everything was running smoothly without any problems. The rangers also seemed to be having a good time!

I agree that it does pay to be paranoid (especially in cases when equipment was seized or a party shut down with force) but probably not essential in all cases.

Anyway, no point in flogging a dead horse, just my 2 cents. Shall I take them down?

    :bounce_fl :bounce_g: :bounce_fl

PS: Sorry to hear about your friends. That’s harsh.

nah, these photos are fine… they are as you say 3 pictures of Enfield (and not the sort of views I would associate with the place!) which don’t show any rave

there are now two laws being used to bust raves; the CJA we all know and loathe but also licensing laws…

to use CJA Cops and councils need to prove that the rave is causing “distress and alarm” there and then – but licensing prosecutions can be done months afterwards…

The cops and forest rangers may well be nice and friendly and let you play for another hour. but all this time there are cops photographing the area, taking down number plates, when they get back they are sharing all this info with the local council….

they are increasingly looking for ways of holding individuals or groups accountable for raves, and to “recover the costs of dealing with them”..

    Alright… I understand.

OK if anyone has any photos from them parties (wonkey disco, naturally connected, digital hive vs kamoflage) can you pm me them please or e-mail me them.

    xxxx

Naaa didn’t find no maze…. found a cafe though… mmm chips lol.
What do you look like??? Got a picture??? E-MAIL ME

Mmm I have only been to like 4… Un-named one, Wonky disco, naturally connected and digital hive.

I don’t know anyone really down here. Shame. Lol.

    xxx

Yea, I found it hard to believe I was still inside the London borders! Some areas of Enfield and north London are very nice indeed. Thought those pictures would be fine. All the points you made make full sense: therefore a good idea to warn for any others that may be put up.

Most parties I went to over the summer, if shut down, were handled reasonably. Although, as you say, behind the scenes information is probably being taken down that could come back to haunt the organisers. Shame really, but unfortunately thats life!

Insanity: You certainly picked the good ones to go to this summer then 🙂 Maybe i’ll catch u for some kentish halloween madness, im very tempted to head down and catch up with some old friends in kent, and a party is always a bonus! I have a picture on myspace (with me not looking too wise) – http://www.myspace.com/82161372

Haha wickiiiiiid! Ohhh well I just went to anyone I could really!!!
Yeah blates you should!!!! He he Halloween rocks!
I added you on myspace 😛 xx
