Not bad as it happens. I usually hate Tuesdays. They always drag at work for some reason. Not so bad today though.

It was a lovely summer day this morning. Then a heavy thunderstorm during my lunch hour.. pitch black and pissing it down. Then when I got back to work it’s turned in to a lovely day again.

Still in fairly high spirits though. I love thunderstorms and there is a good view from here across the town.

yeah, i gotta admit standin watchin the lightning over the yorkshire wolds was a great site!

glad to hear the day is goin well so far :bounce_fl

getting this variable weather down here as well, one moment its sunny the next its pissing down. There was some localised flooding earlier this morning..

Just found out that Treefest at Newstead has been cancelled this weekend cos of all the rain.

Hopefully some of the underground stuff will take place anyway, if not on the site elsewhere.raaa :devilish: raaa

im having a good one despite the crap weather cos im not at work but the
weather is changeable even for Wales it was sunny earlier so started to put my tent up and it pissed down . so it now has a puddle in it !
getting tarps and poles ready for Glade . looks like gonna be the first muddy one:bounce_fl

its been sunny here all day untill i got about halfway home from work on my bike and a thunder storm came over and one of my peddles fell off and i got fecking soaked. apart from that a good day

It really cant decide what to do in norwich, one minute its raining then the sun comes out. im holed up in an office so it does’nt really matter too much altho it was really hot and sunny when i took my lunch break.#

had some pretty wickedstorms last night. i enjoy a good ol storm

I think I just heard another rumble

Weather has been on and off here! Glorious sun then sudden showers.

But i have loved it, my scooter passed its MOT today and it was the first time out legally on the road. Had a laugh with it though, a few mates laughted when i dropped from a 650cc bike to a 180cc scooter.

Funny thing is though none of them could keep up with me earlyer :weee:

Now i am the one laughing :biggreen:

Laughing? 180cc? I can’t resist the temptation…:crazy_dru …to suggest that your steed may be ‘underpowered’, sir. It’ll be even slower than my m/bike!

I’ve been nursing that one for months, dude, i’m sorry to be juvenile…ha ha ha! :groucho:

I’ve still not had an MOT done on mine, i’m waitin for the summer to start…:hopeless:

Yeah, I think the council are trying to run it down, as they had cut it to just the Sunday (officially) even before they cancelled.

its been gorgeous here today, hit 30, supposed to rain our way pretty bad on friday so don’t think it will be the same Glade as last year

the best lightning i ever saw was in hyde park on my 16th birthday, it was a blisteringly hot august day and the sky was so clear, and me and my friend sat watching this perfect forked lightning over all the buildings, never seen any like it before. then came this really loud crack and everyone started running for shelter and then it began to tip it down with rain, a couple of ambulances pulled up to not far from where we were sat, turned out a couple of people got hit and died, pretty scary at the time…

still very variable weather here (although pleasantly warm, 20-22 celsius).

There are two “red” weather warnings of severe rain in Eastern England and SE England, although at this time (2007-07-19 12:29) the Met Office are unsure of exactly where the centre of the rainfall may be.

Its worth everyone who is attending Glade or Eastern Haze (or just going out this weekend) checking the Met Office site for their region regularly.

    East of England region:

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ee/ee_forecast_weather.html

    London South East England

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/se_forecast_weather.html

supplying a postcode or town name provides more localised data.

I have been checking the detailed data from there for some time (against local conditions where I live and work) and it seems to be the most accurate, it is updated hourly and is more accurate than the BBC which seems to mangle some of the data that Met office feed it..

IMO “UK” Weather forecasts from foreign (mostly American) sources (including those forecasts from your internet provider) are best avoided, they make an even worse mess of things than Auntie..

Anyway we all pay for the Met Office in our taxes so might as well make use of the services they provide.

At the start of the “weather day” (10:00) there was light drizzle in urban Ipswich, by the time I had reached Mid Suffolk about 30 mins later the rain was far heavier, but nothing like the current conditions in South East England.

At this time (13:25) it is actually dry but cloudy and overcast, temperatures only around 15 degrees celsius.

I wouldn’t mind this “monsoon” style weather so much if it were a bit warmer as well…
