OK I was travelling back from Lowestoft and just as I was on the train leaving the station,
I swear I saw the following..
- an old guy standing in what I thought was a white signal box which had levers etc
- some of those signals with arms that wave up and down like what you used to get for steam trains
that said I was absolutely trashed and was drifting in and out of sleep at that point, and I have recently been reading a lot of books and websites about Suffolk in the 1900s to 1940s.
Did I actually see any of that in 2007 or was it all a figment of my imagination?
Surely they don’t still use all this stuff in the 21st century? (might explain the sketchy train service I suppose…)
