A neat way to fit a silent alarm which sends you a txt if someone gets into your lock up.

Get one of these motorcycle alarms and wire it to a small 12v battery which is charged by a solar panel.

Mount the alarm on the lock up door so that when it opens, the alarm picks up movement and sends a txt to your mobile.

I seen one fitted to a motorbike but its very easy to use it for other purposes.

Edit – just been reading a bit more on this and it has an alarm trigger input, which allows you to connect a door sensor or even a PIR relay output to it.

Most PIR sensors run off 12 volts anyway, so the relay output will connect straight into the alarm.

All the info here – remember its not just for bikes, these are multi-purpose.

Ours is pretty secure, we rent in a rehearsal and recording studio in a mill so theres usualy folk about most hours. £18 a week which I dont think is too bad and we can also fire the rig up when we need too.

the party is not illegal until it gets served with a section 63 and told to shut down – its only after that you are breaking the law so afaik that rig has never been in breach of the law

Nah conspiracy to cause a breach of the peace and suchlike. There was some rig down Norfolk way that got stopped on their way to a party and impounded. It was that one where allthe Norfolkians were throwing rocks at the police station about.

yeh thats only coz they were on their way to an illegal party thats already in progress, simply having a rig in a lock-up cant be conspiracy as its in storage – theres no proof its gonnal be used for anything illegal 😉

dunno if this was what prompted richie’s post but some old friends of mine who live round maidenhead way just had their lockup robbed,

Yeah thats what prompted me i saw it on SJ, fukin nightmare people robbing kit one thing i did for sure when i built my studio was alarm it to fuk with my own lil design which cannot be bypassed 😉

Just a turn of phrase not meaning everyone in Norfolk I know there is a lot of positive things happening in Norfolk but at the same time you can’t help but tar the area with the one brush as there is a lot more negative things to be said about it at the moment.
