Hi there… don’t know if anyone can hlp but thought it was worth ago…
Currently i’m looking for more locations to be able to run events at, the types of locations i want would be anything that’s not going to crumble or shake (too much) when the bass kicks in… open land and fields, barns, warehouses, industrial unts etc… for between 100 to 500 guests.
I know there’s plenty about but i am wanting permission/ consent from the owners for all activities which would occure, which i would take 100% responsibility for, the locations would be fully insured and licensed, all sound/ lighting equipment would be supplied by myself and the location would be left how we found it, if not cleaner…
If anyone knows of anything that could be what i’m looking for please get in contact.
Thanks… Aki…
P.s… I’m really intersted in any location within West Sussex, but would party anywhere around the country!
It can be hard finding farmers ect that are willing to let people party their land cos alot of the time its already been partied so the farmer already has a hatred for ravers!
But there are definately a few about you just gotta be careful how you word it!
theres a barn just down my road, and u wont have to pay a thing , leave it how u want
you have my permission:weee:
I reckon you are better off looking locally (perhaps also supporting things like farmers markets etc, sussing out who owns what farms particularly younger people “our” sort of age group) – bear in mind there are people who may have inherited a farm or are taking over from their elderly parents
best of luck – it is not going to be that easy in the present climate. Although East Anglia may seem like miles away there are ancient links between farming families of that region and the South, and news travels fast…
also farms have been targeted in the south causing a backlash against free parties there (more in surrey/hants/thames valley area)
like ruff beat provider said too many farmers have already been invaded.. to be brutally honest however you spin it if you are trying to hold raves on farms you are initially going to come across like the kid who always nicked someones lunch money and initially got away with it..
but now that kid got detention and a proper bollocking from the headteacher and “wants to be friends”.. the perceived victim is still going to feel a sense of injustice and unwillingness to co-operate…
and if u send rude messages to me again, ill break ur legs (metaphorically)
The reply i sent wasn’t rude… it was to the point, i’ve always taken this site as fully of a bunch of helpfull and great party goers, but never as a site where people lie and lead people down the garden path “for a laugh or for their own amusment, not what my post was for, i don’t deal with kids or time wasters… and break my legs :laugh_at: – grow up!
But to all the other people who have given usefull advice and their true thought and opionions on this posts, thank you.
As commented, it is strange what i’m doing and has been a bit of a mission (for some not a route they would take) becauses as stated, west sussex has also really been trashed by sound systems which have (in land owners and farmers view) taken the piss..
I’ve spent years doing parties from squats, warehouses, beach/ wood, clubs and pubs… all sorts, i work for a well know charity and local council, where they all know what i do in my spare time, i don’t hide it… which has resulted in them giving me references which has so far helped gain the permission from 4 farmers in west sussex, which have already given me written consent and hopefully it will continue, because to me the cause of less resistance is, most of the time, best route..
Well i’m going to keep on doing what i’m doing ands run into everyone at some point…
Take care no ;o)
should be fairly simple to get a TENS then. The main sticking points with raves are really just the permission aspect and health and safety…
The rest of the info is in the sticky thread on our Law section..

god!, maybe i should specify when im joking!, i think we both got the wrong end of each others stick, so ill leave it at that, sorry, have a brilliant party
say you were going to have a party in a forest with like say 50 peeps n lights n sound system would you need permission from the owner, im led to believe some big company own it or the wild life foundation. ano its a bit of an obviouse answer but i could use some info on things.
if u dont have permission its illegal, if u do have permission its still illegal, if u wanna do a legal one u need a TENS,)under 500), if u wanna do an illegal one, u need a a piece of space, in the middle of no where, where there are no houses, all the usual piece of kit to make rhythmic noise, and dont tell anyone untill the night
hope this helps
yea it has sorta helped since its a kinda select friends thing n stuff i guess we will have to leave it till the night of it and its near a road but thats not a busy one n its near an industrial place but not like itll be open at midnight or that so it should be kool
if its a select friends thing, its always a good thing to have a whose coming list, so if the police do come u can show that its not open to the public (this helps with police sometimes)
orite cheers man il be sure to remember all that
your licensing laws may still be different to those in England (last time I checked TENS was not implemented in Scotland, although it may be now).
I’d also check what the current situation was in your area..
thnx man il give it a look n remind a few of the peeps setting things up thnx
