Our crew are about to open the next chapter of our ‘dance with a stance’ mission – the new sound is called LEVITICUS and will operate in exactly the same way Exodus did before that phase ended for us. That means its a REAL community sound where everybody is free to get involved in helping to make the magic happen so if anybody feels the vibes and wants to get involved.
As y’all know to us this is all much more than just a dance – its a Movement for spiritual change first and foremost so we take a long term view of things. If you can do this you’ll be able to see that the last 7 years of our struggle has been our ‘chrysalis’ period – where lots of people thought it was dead but really it was quietly growing and forming getting ready to turn into a butterfly even more beautiful than it was before…
The LEVITICUS event on 14th March is just a little warm up dance to shake of the dust and ready ourselves for our relaunch dance at the same place on April 5th. We’ll be windin up the tempo with some of our original crew – DJ’s HAZAD & THD & ARMS and others will be there at the launch so March 14th is a good opportunity to link up with any of you Soul-Jahs who would like to get involved in the next stage of our journey. We’re looking at pitching our marquee at a few outdoor venues during the summer and were also looking a space at The Levellers Beautiful Day festival in August.
Our crew is about 25 strong at the moment but it really is an open door to all who have got “the eyes to see, the ears to hear and are ready to do what needs to be done” If you do want to get involved it means more than just DJing, MCing or shifting boxes – it means playing your part in deciding what we do, where we play, what happens to any funds raised etc – a REAL open door, as it was in the beginning…by the people for the people with no ego trippin, power huggin bollox to stunt its growth..
