Does anyone know of any good squat parties in Amsterdam on Queens Night / Day. That’s this wednesday. Zirk used to do some awesome parties but I haven’t heard of them around for a while. If anyone has any info please pm me.
Might have to check that out, cheers dr B:wink:
Thanks. Will check that out. Had my avatar printed on an orange T-shirt and bought an orange afro wig for the day. Queendsay is great.
So does anyone know what’s happenned to the Zirk crew?
I think the Afrika squat is now a car park (I have to check that out) and as far as I know the Amstel squat burnt down a few years ago. Any info appreciated.
I’m off to get wasted.
No idea about Zirk you might want to look at his website but it hasn’t been updated for years. Anyway there’s a trance party at Ruigoord as usual but that’s all I know…
I forgot to mention Richie Hawtins and Speedy J at the Melkweg tonight, not free but well worth it…
:bounce_fl
whats the actual law about squat parties in NL these days?
the impression I am getting is that across the EU its all getting tightened up but in a bit of a “social democratic” way – they are still permitting residential squats (and even infoshop/art/creative type places) in cases where there is no market demand for the property but for parties the system is actually turning the human rights rules back on ravers and saying that their behaviour is anti-social, criminal and affects others’ rights.
The way that site just got left seems rather ominous to me, as if there has been the same lockdown in NL and the cops started using the site content against people..
