  • Hi, this is my first post btw!
I am looking to produce a short music video for a local band in Manchester & really need someone who can rave dance well. i’ve included a link to a youtube clip which is the type of dancing I am looking for.

    YouTube – Broadcast Yourself.

The basis of the idea involves the dancer sat down in his/hers supposed bedroom looking in the mirror. After which they will begin there rave dance to the music, (I know sounds a very simple idea!) I am wanting to keep the video in tune with the 90’s rave scene, if you catch my drift!!!! Anyway if you would be interested please feel free to get in touch…..

    Good luck finding someone.

I wish I could dance like that, gonna grab a few tips from that video for my next rave! ha

Interesting idea. I can see 2 broad ways of doing it. You could either take the music track, cut it apart into the different breaks, and splice a different section of video into each part, thus creating a standard video.

Or, rely on an incredible professional to do all of the work for you, just do one take (or rather a series of one takes) to the music track playing over and over, and you just watch the rushes and pick the best.

Snag is, “professional” would indicate payment of some kind. 😉

Yes, I can dance pretty well. What sort of time frame are you looking at?

Not really able to help you out with your search for a dancer mate, but wicked vid you found and welcome to partyvibe! Hope you find someone for your vid, sounds like it’ll be way more worth watching than half the music vids that are about these days (general rule of thumb seems to be the shitter the tune, the more half-naked women in the vid).

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am just waiting on the band to finish the final mix of the song, but as of yet theres no actual deadline, but the sooner the better.
Yeah with the vid I was just going to take one single shot of the dancing and mix that in with various cuts. The songs only round the 3min mark so it will be quite a short video.
Its a local band from Manchester and theres no budget, I can front travel costs, drink, food, etc… but thats it really. At the mo I did have someone reply to me off gumtree, but as of yet I haven’t heard back from him for a few days now so I don’t know whether he’s changed him mind. Why may this be something you would be interested in?

Im more of a shuffler and body popper, dont even particularly think im much could though my friends say otherwise. However look on emazinglights.com, judging by the video link you’ll probs like what you see. Its a retail site but if you contact them they might be able to put you in touch with some of there demo ravers. Youtube emazing lights first see what you think.

Thanks for your reply. Would you be interested in helping with the vid by any chance?

You know what? You’re on. Yes.

Deal is, I pay my own ticket there. You refund me when I get there (no chance of me skanking you). You got me for one day. Free.

What kind of costume do you want? White safari suit with dicky bow? Sportswear hoodie and jogging bottoms?

Only condition is, I choose my footwear. Trainers or bare foot (I got fugly feet). Would be nice to hear a couple of breakbeats from the track – not the whole track, just get me some idea what kind of rhythmn you want me to keep.

Yes, I can do 192BPM. For a few minutes, anyway! 🙂

Thank you very much, its much appreciated. I’ll pm you my email and phone number plus I can send you a sample of the track via email. I’d say sportsweare hoodie and tracksuite bottoms, or a black top if you have it. I’ll have to keep the message short as I am just about to go out but I’ll send you over the other details soon, so we can sort out the best time to meet etc.

    Thanks again.
