  • Not sure what the back story to this is but he does make a fair point, but he is wrong to do it in front of the class and should have said to her in private if he had an issue. Becaise it seems like he is doing it to humiliate her

I think he was told to leave the class and then made that outburst. A bit of an inappropriate way to express his opinion but good on him for standing up for himself and, as a result, the other students.

That’s just like disrespectful. He definitely could’ve talked to her privately… he clearly wanted to make it known to the whole class. It’s history, how interactive can you get. You’re there to learn… if he wanted real interaction he should’ve joined the drama and theatre team :satisfied

That’s not true. You can have a lot of good interactive discussions in a history class.

    I’ve never had any

Doesn’t mean you can’t have them.

Yeah, I wish my teacher was like this. My one from secondary school was and as a result everyone did MUCH better, he was only young though (in his early 20s) so I think he was more ‘down with the kids’ and knew what teaching styles were actually effective. We had great banter with him and we could take the piss out of him and he would do so in return lol, was a cool guy he listened to the Clash, RATM etc.

My history teacher now is fucking boring and acts like we’re illiterate or something, she will give us sheets and sheets of writing and just read it to us which makes 98% of people daydream and not listen at all.

To learn most effectively there needs to be some interactivity and engagement.

History? Pah! That’s all in the past. Why don’t we teach kids how to change things rather than accept all the current bullshit?

Oh, that might change things. Obviously a lot of people don’t want that, it might mean they might lose out on their golf club membership, their business class airseats, and similar privalege.
