For those who do not understand Dutch; the Dutch Wikipedia editors have devoted a week or two to improving all articles about Denmark and surrounding countries.

There isn’t a similar project on English Wikipedia that I can find; the rationale behind the Dutch project is because of the global environment conference earlier this month (even though it was in France rather than Denmark; that one was in 2009).

There is some logic to this; the idea being that if enough people in NL know about Denmark and surrounding countries this might make them more aware about melting glaciers. (consider where all the water might end up…)

Soooooooooooo, the Dutch are putting out misleading propoganda about Denmark eh? Those bastards. How do we stop this my friend? Lest people think Denmark is a nice place (with the excption of MrsRobinson and her adorable offspring, or at least the cute 1 I keep seeing).

NL better invest in some better dykes for when all the glaciers melt and end up in the ocean.

NL actually bails out the North Sea 24/7 with electric pumps as it is – these stop about 33% of the country going underwater. Most of this comes from solar panels (the leftover power is sold to the UK) although they do have some arrangement to use wind power from other countries if there isn’t enough sunlight (such as harsh winters or during eclipses). DK (+ NO/SE) nd DE have at least one co-owned wind farm and are building another; but the wind keeps blowing the warning buoys at the building site off position…..

There is some friendly rivalry between NL and DK; especially when it comes to trying to encourage eco friendly tourism (especially that involving riding bicycles) or attending music events from their neighbours UK and DE.

It does appear you can ride a bike faster in DK than in NL (often there are way too many other folk on bikes) or DE (you can get a traffic violation ticket for riding too fast!) – and folk in DK are more likely to be able to speak English or German to you as Danish is seen as an even more obscure and “difficult” language than Dutch because of ø, æ etc even though its similar to Dutch in many respects and these extra letters were once part of all North European languages.

Also for various reasons its become increasingly difficult to get a train from NL that goes across DE and eventually ends up in DK in spite of there being no logical reason to prevent this.

Trains are roughly all the same size and (more importantly) use the same wheel gauge across the EU (and most of the developed world); modern European ones can deal with the different electric power used between Germany and everywhere else that isn’t Sweden or Norway (or just use a diesel loco to haul the rest of the train).

But for some reason there are insufficient trains to cope with the demand – so those trains which do visit all 3 countries are usually booked up months in advance by mostly German train spotters and bird watchers and any Danish people found on the train are/were (according to the Germans) going to DE to buy cigarettes although I checked just now and they are now cheaper in DK.

Unless you happen to be one of the unfortunate refugees from the Middle East who recently all ended up arriving on a train in DK from DE (maybe someone got Köln and København mixed up along the line) – and these poor blighters clearly all wanted to stay in DE in the first place, probably feared if they remained in DK they would be put in the Zoo and/or used for experiments and soon after tried to walk (across the fast roads with traffic at 100-120 km/h) to Sweden (about 800 km and I’m not sure if you can walk along the shoulder of the E20)

How will more rough lesbians stop floods?

They are incredibly efficient manual laborers compared to heterosexual housewifes so they can build barriers to stop the rising tides in event of the end times.
