Thanks for the positive post 😀
I’m one of the volunteer crew that organise the Picnic.
The arson attack hit us pretty badly, we lost decor, tents, our video wall, countless pieces of artwork and infrastructure kit built up over the last decade.
Fortunately this years Ambient Picnic was a huge success with a much better level of donations and we will be back with a bigger, better event than before. We are lucky to have managed to keep the support of the local council despite busting our licensed attendance figure by a couple of thousand. They estimate we had a bout 10,000 people through there on the day. Not bad for a free event run by unpaid volunteers
The Picnic was originally started by people from a couple of free party crews and is now made possible with a lot of support from people in todays free party scene.
