Where Elektrik Muffin resides there are numerous leftie/animal rights/hippy types who may be familiar with the use of aniseed to “fox” foxhounds and disrupt hunting and this sort of tactic gets handed down generations as a way of “getting one over on the feds” (whether or not its effective in a urban drug dealing environment). if you spend any significant time with such hippies especially if they partake of drugs its easy to see how these urban legends persist 😉
