This is where recent US administrations have failed I think. Since Regan declared the War on Terror after the cold war ended. Isreal’s been using the same rhetoric to justify it’s policies helping it win the propaganda war which has contributed to a significant oportunity for peace in this region having been missed. If the US had imposed a fair and peaceful settlement because it’s clear those involved can’t reach one, I’m certain the world would be better off.
However this is where I thought the message I took from Spielberg’s Munich had the most weight in that it’s extremely difficult to build something positive through violent means.
Regardless it’s obviously very important to differentiate between the views and wants of the people, and the politicians who govern them!
