hi derek! glad you enjoyed the party and it seemed friendly and good natured. I think putting it right out in the open where the whole of Londonistan can watch (and maybe join in ?) makes people behave a bit better – they have fun but are less likely to cause trouble
none of these groups actually have any core membership – its like the critical mass for cycle rides where a group of people just decide to go off and do stuff. They don’t put on raves either although they are supportive towards them.
I think TBH the beach parties are organised by a bunch of locals from London; same as they always were when the beach was first put there as something to occupy kids in London whose families could not afford the train fare to seaside resorts.
