!MUSIC LOVERS UNITE!

Come and celebrate World Music Day on Middle Meadows Walk, the Meadows, Edinburgh, on 21st June, 3 – 8pm. FREE

AREA 1 –
An afternoon assortment of local live bands (funk, dub n reggae, ska, tribal, punk, rock etc) finishing off with live electronic beats n breaks…..

AREA 2 –
The Musical Workshop – Communal live jam – an open invitation to everyone – artists, music lovers, outdoor performers and spontaneous composers. Bring toys, noizemakers, instruments and inspiration for a grand knees up honky tonk ho down….

A club venue is being arranged to carry on the fun from 10 till 3am. Venue to be announced on the day.

“La Fête de la Musique” is an international event that takes place every 21st June. Dedicated to musical practice and performance, and open to all musicians, World Music Day presently brings together more than 120 countries and 250 cities in a live music celebration aimed at enhancing the scope and diversity of musical practices in all genres. Initiated in France in 1982, its name and concept have spread throughout the world during the last 20 years.
It may also be of interest to note the Summer Solstice is celebrated on the same day.

alright folks. we was gonna do it sat this yr – 24th june. but our licence fuct up, so new date is being organized as we speak. roughly a month from now. new thread will b up as soon as we know the score. Its gonna b a total stonka this yr! :o)
