they’ve tried to put on 2 parties since then & neither worked out. lots of talk & not too subtle on myspace.:you_crazy

i hope they do pull it off, though they’ve often said they are going for multi-riggers. from what i can make out the metal system is pretty much the same people.

the punk people have done loads of parties successfully, though generally in legal venues.

i would just have a backup plan if i were you. there’s a party near shef & one near chester this weekend that I know about, and can PM details to you. though not sure i’m doing anything until the last weekend in may, got the wife & kids to think about & can’t get leathered too often

Yeah that used to be a right club – my god I got memories of that place – even more so from when it was known as Beyond Beach Babylon before got shut down the first time when a hardcore night called Space used to be there.

In the end it was closed down for the final time not cos of the drugs, violence etc but noise!

They built some luxury flats pretty much next to the place and some bitch on the Council’s planning committee bought one of them and then kicked up a fuss on the committee cos she didnt like the noise generated from the place and that in the end killed it – even if club had spent a fortune on sound proofing they wouldnt have been able to stop the noise at put out time, and the bitch had influence so they kinda gave up the fight and is up for sale now and has been for a while as noone in their right mind will buy it as a club with that being the situation – prob end up a theatre or something I reckon:yakk: .

Shame though as was best club in town by a mile – real beautiful inside – like a temple – and plenty of dark corners and slack bouncers. Won best designed club in the country when it first opened in 97.
