Hi,
Yes I know some stuff about Western & Chinese horoscopes too.
I, also like to view things in a sceptical/scientific light, but also will believe stuff that doesnt always make sense, but ‘feels’ right.
I suppose I have been described as ‘a bit of a hippy’ but that never can sum up a whole person. All through life we are eternally being forced into boxes by either/or, our friends, the government, marketing people, our employers, astrologers etc etc.. The trouble is as one human is unique to another one (& yet has less genetic variation to be regarded as a ‘separate species from the most isolated tribe on this planet), we become the ‘Damned Things’ that the above try to force into their pigeonholes that they think we are.
so, what’s all this got to do with horoscopes… Well, they’re o.k. I agree that the birthchart type of horoscope can be useful in giving us an insight into who/what we are, the ones you get in the paper (daily ‘sun-sign’ horoscopes) don’t do anything for me – a friend txt’d me my horoscope for today & actually seemed upset when I dismissed it..
They do have a lot of power over a lot of people – a lot of people really believe in them.
I believe it’s good to question things – anything you don’t feel fits your perception of the world.
Read Robert Anton Wilson’s books
In fact, just read more – it’s great !
I love to party, as Nadia (my wife) will tell you, oh & my friends, & the people who serve me drinks where I go… but reading’s good too.
R.A.W. writes a lot of books – which could be considered ‘heavy’ by some people, but I find his writing to be upbeat, positive & good mind food.
I’m playing a track out at the moment which has a great speech part in it (sounds like it could have come from Timothy Leary himself) – which goes “Your mind, every compartment of your mind, can be programmed by you, and if you do not take responsibilty for programming your own mind, the world will programme it for you” (excellent breakbeat tune from ILS Y4K album can’t remember the title)
Going back to R.A.W. – his books are basically saying (as he’s stated) “Don’t fully believe anybody else’s belief system. Don’t fully believe your own belief system.”
All categories are meaningless.
I’m a Capricorn Sun sign, Aquarius moon sign, have Gemini as my ascendent, and in Chinese astrology am an Iron (or Fire) Goat (sheep)…
Whatever THAT means.. I think as you go through life, you pick up knowledge, wisdom that resonates with yourself & stuff that doesnt we disregard.
Peace to all (even tho’ there’s a war on)
Have a good holiday everybody !!
Dave
This is excellent (particularly if like me you only know about 2 Chinese characters and do not know much Chinese) [1]

Hi,
Yes had a look at this – really good resource !!
I like the way it sets everything out for the day…
I suppose this could be seen as the equivalent of a newspaper sun-sign horoscope – but it does seem to have a lot more to it.
Have bookmarked it.
check this site out – for all manner of esoteric ramblings 😉
