Any way, im off back down the pub (mates doing a night at a random city pub, it was full of chavs, and muppets, so we came home for a cuppa till he’s playing his set!) adios! xxxxx

if its the one on the cambs/essex/suffolk border there was a full on riot at that one, 5 police forces from the East of England were used to close it down. Nasty injuries on both sides, 35 arrests.

BK’s rig didn’t get taken as by the time the cops had finished with it it wasn’t worth taking; cops trashed it in reprisal for their 4×4 being petrol bombed..

if that was the party where all the norfolk/suffolk rigs went to then yeah thats the one i was on about. Read the story this morning on the BBC website, pretty sickening stuff on both sides. to be honest im not surprised the police have acted in this way, its been coming for a long time, after being met with abuse from revellers for the past couple of years. does that give them the right to do it though? does it give us the right to fight back? I dont know, my feeling are fairly mixed at the moment about raves, not been to one since i became pregnant due to the risk factors that are now involved that werent so much a couple of years ago, for instance, getting battered by police/caught up in a riot. Not good for unborn baby! priorities in life have changed in the last few months, and physically fighting for a cause im not sure i even beleive in as much any more isnt one of them. Im not a fighter as it is. there are better ways of getting what you want. I wonder sometimes where all the peace love and unity has gone that everyone talks about.

Getting excited tho about next weekend, going to a party at last, one thats been sorted with a PEL and bar liscence so at least wont have to worry about riots! only thing ill have to worry about is going into labor! LOL!

love to all! Hope what ever you did you had and still have a good bank holiday! Dont let the man get you down! :group_hug :group_hug :group_hug :group_hug

Ended up at east end valley festival, got home at 01.30 only to find its been busted and not worth it to go.
Hope you didnt get boshed raverbaby.:hopeless:

the lower ranks of police in this country cannot take the decision themselves to put on “riot gear” and start whacking people. They need to be authorised to do so (or to carry out baton charges to clear areas) by senior officers.

The land was occupied without permission (contrary to other rumours going around on the night) and the farmer didn’t want them to be there. Its often not just a case of nimbyism but the fact that people shit everywhere around rave sites and it contaminates the land so it cannot be used for weeks. If the farmer gets inspected by Defra and there is contamination he could lose his subsidies and have his farm put on restriction which means his crops can be confiscated and destroyed..

at the urban warehouse parties I have seen warehouses totally trashed and thousands of pounds of mindless damaged caused.

its a small minority which wrecks things but they are causing a lot of trouble… and sadly worldwide there is a tendency for angry young men (whether or not they are in uniform) to sort things out by fighting….

what happened is harsh; but in many other parts of the World the cops would have fired first baton rounds, then warning shots, then live rounds into the crowd, and perhaps the rudeboys would have returned fire…

where is this event? Feel free to put it on the calendar and if its a free event the promoters can put it on the ads forums without paying..

BTW If its anything like Suffolk, East of England Ambulance usually park a wagon up in the town on standby in case its needed..

I really dont get why people think that returning fore to the police will make the police give them what they want! And As for moaning about getting cs gassed when they’ve just smacked a police officer round the head with a galss bottle….wtf! its fairly simple, if you dont want to get hurt, dont get involved in a riot…walk away. You say about angry men, as much as this is right, i also think alot of it is down to angry teenagers, the ones who are growing up to realise the world isnt as rosy as they might have been mislead into thinking, girls as young as 14 trying to fight the police, some of the girls are way more hysterical than the men are! Everyone sufferes from a bit of teen angst, i know i did! people deal with it differently. I could be wrong, but havnt you noticed that as the average age of a raver has decended ove the years, the amount of rioting and trouble has ascended. could be a simple coincidence…
