ez pv how are we on this wonderful evenin?
right i’m doin a little early research… very soon (depending on whether i stay in college till end of course or not) i plan to go travelling, for a total of 18 months – not all at once of course.
i plan to do 6 months of travellin in each of:
south-east asia (thaliand, cambodia, vietnam all i’ve decided so far)
south america
africa (charity work)
latter two i dont know where specifically
i’m going to take 3 years out for this, the months i’m not travelling i’ll be working for the next trip
i’d love to hear some reccomendations of places to visit… how to survive, jobs i could get, how not to get fucked over, things that are essential to take etc.
also how to find out wheres good to stay/eat… cos i’ve already decided fuck the lonely planet guide!!! 😉
things to bear in mind…
1. obviously atm i am skint as fuck, but i’m working a lot during the summer. obviously i’ll be going dirt cheap, but some sort of minimum money needed for each trip, and i presume i’d need to work out there? would like to have a bit of money for some luxuries (the odd drink etc.)
2. i’ll be travelling alone, apart from the africa trip, so i’m unaware what difference this would make
3. africa trip is charity work, i have a good idea what charity i could go for, thanks to a late night conversation with glo on level 1, but any further tips/recomendations would be grand
