sorry, it wasn’t very clear who had the gun.it was a hunter with the gun. there was a couple of them lamping in the fields. fair enough that he had a gun with him ‘cos he was hunting . The way he was waving it about and trying to intimidate us was a bit worrying though.
I’ve met other hunters that have asked us to leave their land and they’ve always put the gun down or held it on the inside of their elbow (you know what I mean, so there no danger of the trigger being accidentally pulled.)
Thanks for the clarification. Glad to see the gun culture that exists on the commercial club scene is not (yet) creeping across to unlicensed events; although what the hunter did is inexcusable. I’ve just read on the news a second case of a young boy being accidentally shot dead during a lamping expedition – Britain’s shooters ought to take more care!

went out on the pis in Reading town centre last night, somethink i have not done in a long time and was shocked at the amount of fights kicking off at 2am (kicking out time)
too true 🙁 – its been like this for some years now..
Before I used to just laugh and think “well, these idiots are tying up the resources of the old bill” which meant that party people could often be left to “get on with it” (at least until early Sunday morning) – but nowadays I’m starting to realise a harsh truth – there is a real danger that this climate of hate and violence is being carried across to the party scene as well.
Lately I’ve seen a lot of townie style squabbles at parties in my area; not so much robberies or gang culture like in London (although there was a minor spate of this in Reading last year), but arguments amongst groups of people from the same area usually sparked off by disputes over drugs, money, relationships or road collisions caused by dodgy parking outside venues. Thankfully they have all been defused quickly and not resulted in anything serious, but I’ve noticed the concept of PLUR has been somewhat battered and dented over the last few years, paradoxically as parties become more and more common and last for longer than ever..
In areas outside London its still a minor problem rather than a major threat; but we cannot afford to let our guard down…
Some poor girls got a lift outside my favorite clubs in bristol centre and got in the car with some dealer- 5 mins later the car was opened fire on and both the girls are in hospital, one lost an eye. wether you are in the counrty or the suburbs or the town, the reliance on guns by one of the largest industrys and growth sectors in the country ( DRUGS ) is gonna affect all of our ways of life soon. Plus those local sleepy papers rarely do any pro-active news hunting/ reporting, and so miss most major local stories, chances are if you area is dodgy you dont know bout it.
crazy tho, were not people dark enuf when they would attack u with hammers? why do you need guns to feel like a heavy dealer? fuck nose. the world is pretty screwy and rubbish, and i know how low it can take you (allthe way) but a gun ? please no.
