COPS raced to the Queen’s Sandringham estate to find 500 revellers holding an illegal all-night rave.

A huge sound system had been set up in a woodland clearing after locks were broken on a gate.

Police monitored the party near Dersingham, Norfolk, but made no arrests in spite of a string of complaints about noise.

The racket could be heard from nearby Sandringham House – but the Queen was believed to be at Balmoral in Scotland.

A Sandringham worker said: “She will not be amused.”

that what we pay our taxes for

The Sun don’t have a clue do they? I was at this party and I walked to the main road (a matter of 100m or so)and I couldn’t hear a thing!

The party was in a quarry and the sound just didn’t get out. If you stood on the precipice (sp)of the cliff you could hear the bass and that was about it! Funny it should appear two days after the actually party had finished. Not very good hacks if you ask me.

The Sun have been writing this crap for 15 years since the Acid House days. Typical media negativity

First they try to commercialise any alternative scene, when that doesn’t work they try to destroy it. The Sun tried it in the 80s with the Acid House parties, Central TV tried in the 90s with the original rave scene, more recently the BBC and Granada have been trying the same with some aspects of the urban music scene (they love UK garage as it gives them both music and crime reports!)

even the Grauniad was doing stuff like putting reports on London raves in the crime section along with reports on gun crime and trophy rapists 🙁 – and publishing articles in the arts section congratulating Blair for clamping down on graffiti!

Perhaps traditional media outlets are really going into siege mentality as the growth in new media is showing we can actually produce better entertainment and media content than them?
