  • I was a long and heavy user of Mephedrone, but the last 6-8 months have been a nightmare. Ive had a few scares where when I was taking Meph my arms would tense up, light heads and panic attacks. I’ve quit Mephedrone altogether but it seems when I drink alcohol or energy drinks I seem to get the same pains & tensing In my arms. I’d also start to feel very cold. Any ideas? Went to the doctors, well a&e as I was getting very bad chest pains, bad tensing In my arms & light heads after a nights drinking. They said it was too much alcohol. Could this be a blood circulation problem? If so, How could I improve my blood circulation?

    Thanks.

i don’t know if calling it a blood circulation problem adequately describes what you have going on, but you seem to be aware that something in your circulatory system is wrong. its great that you went to a doctor but it seems like you got some rote BS answer that doesn’t address the prior meph use, although I’m sure less alcohol wouldn’t hurt. the part about chest pains is very concerning, angina is never a good thing. GLAD you’re off the drone though.

steady aerobic exercise is probably the best way to improve your circulation and staying away from any type of stimulants (including caffeine) and you can probably undo some if not most of the damage.

going for a jog or a hike or even an extended walk will get your blood flowing better, again i don’t know exactly what is wrong and causing the tensing and the chest pains, but it is symptomatic of something being F’ed with your veins and arteries.

Its hard for me to give anymore specific advise regarding your situation. hopefully someone else will chime in with more.

edit: i used to do stim’s and can relate to some of the things you are describing going wrong with your body. personally starting a daily dedicated yoga practice has eliminated alot of the negative things as far as chest pains, panic attacks and what not, although it took several years of daily yoga and zero hard drugs to achieve results. I guess the main thing I can impart is to stay away from meph and if you can you should also eliminate any caffeine.

Thanks for the reply, very helpful.
I forgot to add when I went to A&E they put me on a monitor to check my heart beat, they said I’d heart pulsations. They were very unhelpful to say the least. Once my heart had calmed down they basically just shipped me out, and said the cause was too much alcohol. I guess that was probably the easiest thing to blame to, IMO.

At this moment in time, I don’t see the advantages of taking drugs. After I take them I just feel pretty ill and tense, rather than high and relaxed. So I’ve cut down on the drinking massively this year untill I start feeling better. If I went to the doctors, can they do any tests to check your circulation? Or are they useless?

I don’t know of any other tests they should have done, I’m presuming they did an EKG, and with palpitations(I’m assuming this is the same as pulsations), they probably should have given you a beta-blocker or something that helps regulate smooth muscle, I guess they didn’t feel the pulsations were that serious or they would have given you something for them.. Which is both good and bad, the good thing is they didn’t see it as too serious, the bad thing is they blamed it on alcohol and that isn’t really the cause.

You need to quit everything and do Tai Chi.

I’m starting it soon, downloaded a video on the basics.

I only know a little thi chi, but even the basic movements are good for you if you’re just practicing them for health rather then fighting (either way is good, but if you focus solely on the forms then you’re spending more time on them, and they are the part that’s good for health).

I’m gonna start it as my back is fucked and it’ll give me something to REALLY concentrate on, other than the usual rituals my life. I hope it works for me, in the past week I’ve lost a great deal of mobility in my knee’s. I can hardly bend my left one, and my right one feels like theres so much pressure in it, that its gonna pop. But on the up side I get to use the disabled toilets now in some places.

Yeah thi chi can be really good for these kinda injuries. anything that strengthen your core will be, but a lot of thi chi is focused on this. Make sure you’re learning the breathing properly too as this will effect how your core works and if you’re not breathing right you’ll not get as much benefits out of it.

Dayum. I actually hate having to post on here when I’m feeling ill but meh lol.

Basically I haven’t taken a drink in so long, but last night I ended up drinking a bottle of wine (Buckfast) haha, and probably smoked 20 cigarettes. I haven’t slept yet due to my heart going 90. I am having the same pains as before. Could this be panic attacks? I’m only 22 and this is pretty annoying lol. What’s the best way to get rid of this? Lol.

    Are you still taking stimulants?

How often do you drink? You may be developing stage one DT’s.

Nope, I’ve quit drugs since I posted the thread.
I don’t drink that often. Cut down on everything.

The body takes time to heal, I f’d my heart up on some fake MDMA i was sold about 4-5 years ago, it took about a year for it to compelately settle down. I was getting really bad heart palpatations or murmers or some shit for ages after .. thanks fully it went away in the end.

Yeah, might just have an easy year. I need it haha. I actually have a craving at the moment, but when I think about how ill i feel after taking something it puts me right off lol.
    Thanks.
